Christina Hansen is a Métis speech arts, drama, and music educator, who has adjudicated speech arts festivals throughout BC and has over 20 years of teaching experience. Christina holds an ARCT in speech arts from the Royal Conservatory of Toronto, where she received the Florence Memorial Scholarship for the highest mark in Canada. Christina has directed community theatre productions including Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Anne of Green Gables the musical, and You're a Good Man Charlie Brown; she is currently directing a high school production of Little Women, and working towards a community theatre production of Pirates of Penzance. Over the years, Christina's students placed at the provincial level and were accepted into post-secondary fine arts programs. Resultantly, Christina's research interest is around how fine arts experiences produce self-efficacy towards leadership development and transformational learning for Indigenous youth. Christina is graduating shortly with an MA in Leadership through Trinity Western University and is working on a thesis for her M Ed through Yorkville University, while also completing a graduate certificate in adult education. Christina remains grateful for her roots and for those who have supported her and her family over the years.
